I always thought that tweezers were tweezers until someone gave me a pair of Rubis tweezers. Now these tweezers will run you about $30, but they are well worth the price! The tweezers made it really easy to remove splinters with very little crying involved!
After watching the Olympics, I got to thinking about sport watches. I saw some Oakley watches recently and they are cool! Oakley originally made its name as the number one seller of sunglasses and now they are making great sport watches as well. This is the one that caught my eye:

I keep hearing about Nokia unlocked phones or iPhone unlocked cell phones and unfortunately I have no idea what they are talking about. So I decided to do a bit of research.
Some cell phones are designed to use a Subscriber Identification Module (SIM) card, or microchip that stores subscriber data. The SIM card is issued by a carrier and provides cell service by activating any phone into which it is inserted. A locked phone, however, will only recognize a SIM card from a particular carrier. If the cell phone is unlocked, it will recognize a SIM card from any carrier. The “lock” is a software setting that keeps the cell phone “loyal” to one carrier.
When you get a cell phone with a plan the cells phone are usually offered at a discounted rate. This is because they are locked and will only work with the plan that you purchased with the phone.
In the United Sates, only AT&T Wireless and T-Mobile use cell phones with SIM cars. Carriers such as Sprint PCS, Verizon and Virgin Mobile do not yest use card-enabled phones.
I don’t know if this works or not, but I just heard about a new acne treatment called Zeno. It actually heats the skin up to 120 degrees for two minutes. Supposedly this kills the bacteria and reduces inflammation of the pores. The device runs for about $150-$200 and does not work for all acne. You can feel the heat from the device and it could be uncomfortable. While it does not burn the skin, it can leave red marks. Interesting concept, but not sure how effective it would be.

While I was in Leavenworth this past week, I went into two different stores. The first store had t-shirts with the a little logo “Life is Good”. The shirts all had upbeat messages on them. The next store I went into had funny t-shirts with a different message. These t-shirts were made by “Life is Crap.” If you are not the eternal optimist, these shirts are for you! This is the one that I wanted to get my daughter whose life is all about Chocolate (and she loves to use the word crap for some reason):
If I had a small child again, this is the stroller I would choose - The Bugaboo stroller. I saw someone with one of these at the airport and they look so convenient and lightweight. Plus they have tons of cool accessories to attach (like a shade umbrella, cup holder or canopy).
The way the wheels are attached makes it easy to maneuver as well. I hate the big clunky strollers and this one is so much easier to get around town with. You can even get a wheeled transport bag to use to check the stroller on an airplane.
