After I painted my living room, I thought it would be nice to add some molding. My walls are not as even as they should be and the molding would make it seem more even.

After looking around the web a bit, I found InvitingHome.com which offers quality molding and corbels. First, I looked through their inspiration gallery to find some ideas for my living room. I could get really fancy if I wanted to, but I think I will just keep it simple!

Next, I took a look at the installation guides. I wanted to make sure that this was a project that I could handle by myself or with a little bit of help. The installation guides tell you how to measure your room and then how to cut and install the molding. There are installation guides for every product that they sell on their site.

Third, I looked through the long list of moldings and choose two that I thought would look nice in my living room. My first choice is the Maison Cove Molding. It is made from high density polyurethane and is pre-primed.

My second choice is the Della Crown Molding. I love the two line look of this molding. It is also made from high density polyurethane and is pre-primed.

Some day I will have a home with a basement. And some day, I will add this to my new home:

Now that it is cold and snowy outside, what I wouldn’t give to be able to view movies from my own home theater seating. Maybe add a popcorn machine, soda dispensers, candy bar. Maybe I could even sell admission!

Of course, I am only dreaming!

Have you ever bought funny t shirts for your family and friends as a joke? I have! However, I keep them very clean and not offensive. I have seen a few t-shirts that I would be totally embarrassed to wear and I am surprised that ANYONE would wear them. I found this shirt that I thought would be great for my five year old:

Of course if you are a Seinfeld fan, then this shirt is a must have!

I often wonder if the high priced shopping sites are hard hit during an economic downturn. Are the rich still buying Chanel and Oscar de la Renta? I have read that Nordstrom has cut their prices on over 800 styles by over 22 percent. While shopping at high-priced boutiques may not have diminished as of yet, I am sure that time will come. Can anyone really see spending thousands of dollars on a handbag?

If you don’t have a Kohl’s near you, you are missing out. It has become my favorite place to shop. When you sign up for their credit card you get coupons all the time. Mostly they are for 15% off, but every once in a while I get a 30% off coupon. I used my 30% off coupon to buy Christmas outfits for the kids and then went back later (you can use the coupon throughout a certain time period) and did a little Christmas shopping for the kids!

This year, we are going with a black/teal color scheme for the outfits. I bought Noah a pair of black cords, cute button down gray sweater but I need to find a matching tie.

I wish I could find a picture of Rachel’s dress it has tulle over the top and very nice beading. Taylor picked out a teal sweater and already has a black pencil skirt to wear with it.

Do you think I will be able to find a tie to match this color?

My next pair of shoes is going to be a pair of Dansko shoes. I only like comfortable shoes and sometimes that means that they are not very stylish. These shoes, however, have the perfect heal height, are sturdy, stylish and comfortable! Guess these are going on my Christmas wish list!

Since I am feeling a little under the weather, I am bringing you posts from my couch. Easy to do since we have CAT5e wiring installed in every room of our house! I was searching the internet for decorating ideas, and found that Calico Corners is having a $5,000 Shopping Spree Contest. Simply enter your particulars and answer a couple questions and you are entered. I would love to redecorate this room with $5,000!

I have had my home office chair for a while now and it is starting to get a little uncomfortable. I thought I would do some online shopping for office chairs that would be comfortable yet not too big. I found one that I really liked, until I saw the price tag! I didn’t realize that office chairs could cost so much. This one is almost $1,000! Oh well, back to the drawing board.

I am always confused about the new diet supplements that are being advertised, such as Hydroxycut hardcore. On the one hand, it is a fat burner and on the other hand it is a muscle builder. It just makes me wonder if one product can truly do both things at one time. One product advertises that it uses multi-platform technology to stimulate metabolism and help burn fat at the same time as burning muscle. I like to read both positive AND negative reviews of such products to really get a feel if the product is worth the money that it costs.
