Ouch!
Yesterday, my daughter and I baked Christmas cookies so that she could go caroling with her church group and give out treats. Unfortunately, I wasn’t quite prepared with the necessary safety equipment needed to bake cookies - the hot pad. I couldn’t find any hot pads and instead used a mitten. Well, that doesn’t work too well.
Santa, please add hot pads to my Christmas list!
O Little Town of Bethlehem
The High School Orchestra concert was Monday and we enjoyed listening to Taylor play her violin. Here is a selection from the concert:
Santa!
We attending our church Christmas party on Saturday and of course, Santa made an appearance. My older daughter wouldn’t sit on his knee but told him he smelt like “beef and cheese.” (See the movie Elf for this classic line.) Here are the pics:
Noah tells Santa he wants a Robot - Opps! We don’t have that one!
Rachel can’t decide what she wants!
Speedy
When my son puts on his “speedy shoes” there is no stopping him! He loves to run and is constantly jumping. When he plays video games or goes bowling or even plays soccer, he just can’t keep still but loves to bounce around. Fortunately, he is also a good direction follower and will sit in his seat for his teacher. Here he is on the run!
Back to School
Today was the first day of school for my two daughters. My oldest one headed off to her first day of High School. She was hoping that she would find her classrooms ok. My second daughter went in early because she is a safety and was hoping that there would be kids in her classroom that she liked.
My son goes to orientation for Kindergarten tomorrow and then has his first day of school on Friday. Then I will be home all be myself!
I will post some pics tomorrow!
Make a Sticker Book for Your Kids or Grandkids
I found a very interesting post at The Grandparenting Blog - How to Write a Children’s Storybook with Stickers. Grandpa Shayne has a easy to follow slide show on his blog on how he made a great sticker book with an interesting story line for his Grandson’s birthday. If you have small children or grandchildren, this is a great project to make for them or even have them help you make it as well. I am going to try to make one for my five year old son. Off to the store to get stickers!
How to Jump Into A Pool
My son LOVES to swim and he loves to jump into the pool. This summer we went swimming at a pool with my sister and Noah did nothing but get out of the water and jump back into the pool. He is really not a winter person and would love to move someplace that it is HOT all the time. Of course, we would have to have a pool too!
