Yes, I have what we call in our family – The Dream Curse. My sister has The Dream Curse and so does my nine year old daughter. The Dream Curse is where you have very vivid dreams and then when you wake up you are not sure if they are real or not. Some of the dreams even make you mad at other people, even though it was just a dream! My nine year old has nightmares and we have to constantly monitor what she watches on television!
A couple of years ago, I had a dream that a friend of mine went to Chicago and got in a horrible accident. She even contacted Chicago personal injury lawyers to sue the other driver. Of course, none of this really happened, but she actually WAS planning a trip to Chicago. I told her to be really, really careful, because I was sure that something would happen. Of course, nothing did, but that is how vivid some of these dreams can be!

My dream curse is that I dont get into med school. I hope it dosent happen.

I have it. I will often ask, “Did we talk about this already, or did I dream it?” I’ve also had dreams with entire story lines, from start to finish. I once had an entire X-Files episode dream, complete with plot, Mulder and Scully, the works. Weird how some have it and others don’t.

I have had this my whole life. I think it’s why I became a writer.
Not only do I sometimes have trouble telling the difference between what I dreamed and what’s actually true, I have dreamt about dead people who are moving on. They are people I don’t know. They do things like try to give me money for the long trip. They are often in groups and seem confused. I don’t know any more than they do about where they are going. Sometimes they ask for directions. One time it was a group of 9 men who only spoke German–which I speak fairly well. I don’t tell people about this because they’d think I’m a total squirrel. I’m not crazy-=just have the dream curse, I guess.
