School Supply List Arrives

I received a letter from my daughter’s fifth grade teacher listing the supplies that she wants us to get. The teacher is going to supply to the binders, notebooks and folders, instead she would like us to provide dry erase markers, tissues, correction pens, pens and pencils and a few more items. I don’t mind buying supplies since teachers spend about $400 out of their own pockets each year to help supply their classrooms. I just wonder where our tax money is actually going.

Today, I will head off to Wal-Mart and hope that their POS systems are working correctly. I was there the other day and wasn’t receiving the correct discount. This is usually not the POS system fault, but a human error where the prices were not set correctly in the database. I just hope I don’t have the same problem today. I don’t want to hold up the line!
