After I completed my Bachelor’s degree, I searched for a job in my field but was unable to find one. Instead, I did work as an Administrative Assistant. I decided that this job wasn’t taking me the direction that I wanted to go, so I decided to go back to school for my Master’s Degree in a different field. This is entirely doable as long as you know what the minimum requirements are to be admitted into the program.
First, I needed to take the appropriate test. There were a lot of gmat prep and gre prep classes available so I knew that I would be able to pass the required exam. Second, I made sure that I had all the prerequisite courses. Since I was still in a science related field, I had all the necessary courses. If I hadn’t, I could have enrolled as a part time student and taken the classes that I needed before applying.
It took me almost four years to complete my Master’s Degree on a part time basis, but I loved ever second of it. Because I was taking classes part time, I was able to pay for the classes on my own. I kept my full time job and it was a lot of work, but I’m glad I did it.
Next, I think I might try Law School!
