What sells at garage sells and what doesn’t?

Almost anything in good condition will sell! Best sellers include small appliances, kitchen items, books, CDs, DVDs, sports equipment, furniture, children’s clothing, camping items, anything new (in its original box or packaging). Also complete sets of items – bedding, dishes, towels, etc.

Adult clothing and very expensive merchandise does not sell as well. However, I have had good luck with adult jackets and suits.

When pricing an item a good rule of thumb is to price it at 20 – 40% of the original value. Clothes should be priced less, new items more.
