Navajo Fry Bread

Last night I made an old favorite of mine that I haven’t made in 20 years – Navajo Fry Bread. I bought the frozen bread loafs at the grocery store and defrosted one of them. I then heated about 1/2″ of oil in a frying pan. I pinched off golf ball size chunks of the bread and rolled it out into a circle. Each circle was fried until both sides were golden brown and not doughy anymore.

These bread is then topped with regular taco toppings. I used ground turkey with taco seasoning, tomatoes, onions, lettuce, shredded cheese, sour cream and salsa.

Yummy!

If there’s another word for Yummy, then that would be what I’m dying to say right now. I guess I’m going to try that one at home this weekend. But I might replace the kind of bread, cause we don’t have that here.
