Rude People at Concerts

Last night was my daughter Rachel’s concert (she plays the cello). What I want to no is, what is the proper etiquette at a concert? Because, in our town, I think it is – talk straight through the concert loudly so that other people can not hear their children playing. I don’t know what it is with the parents at my daughter’s elementary school but they can NOT keep their mouths shut. In fact, one parent was loudly complaining to another parent that the sound was really low. Maybe if you would have shut your mouth for five seconds and listened we might have been able to hear something. Do they make something like hoodia for your vocal chords so that we can’t hear these people constantly speaking?

I just don’t get it!

That is just wrong. From kids, I can imagine them talking a bit and their parents stopping them, but when it comes from the parents… it’s just not right.

Did you say something, or just give them the stink eye? It’s so hard to know how to best handle those situations.

I find the same behavior holds at the movies as well. Hello? I paid to hear the flick, not you and your friend talking about!
