We added an upstairs to our house about 7 years ago, however, we have always wanted to add an addition over the garage as well. Since the real estate market slump, a lot of our neighbors have been building up on their houses by taking out a home equity loan. They have found that this is a way of getting additional space without have to move. We are going to see if adding additional room will be worth it. We don’t want to add space and then find out that we can not sell our home later for what we put into it.
