My sister, who had her house custom built a few years ago, decided to sell it and move into a smaller house. Her two older children are moving away and the family is getting smaller. Fortunately, they found a new house to buy and a buyer for their house at the same time. The only problem was that their new house would not be ready by the time they had to move out of their old house. They actually thought about renting an RV, but when I mentioned that they would have to pay park fees and get a rv insurance quote, they cost was more than renting a extended stay hotel room.
They are glad they went with the hotel room. The kids get to swim in the pool everyday and there is free breakfast every day plus a light dinner four nights a week. It ended up being a pretty good deal!
