My nephew is now attending his second semester at college. He is decided to attend BYU, after narrowing down his choices from BYU, a WA state college or an AZ college. The first semester was a shortened summer session and my sister hoped that he would do well. However, once they get to college you never know. He did ok, but I guess there was room for improvement. Now he is in the midst of a full semester and hopefully will learn how to manage his time.
I think that that is the hardest thing for new college students. Before, you had a lot of other people managing your time, but now it is almost totally your responsibility. Of course, you want to have some time for fun, but you need to learn how to prioritize your time so that all your work and studying gets done first. The last thing you want is to get kicked out of college!
