One of the direct sales tips that was mentioned at my Stampin’ Up! seminar was – think of your business as a three-legged stool. Each leg is necessary to hold up your business. You should spend equal time one all three aspects of your business – special events, recruiting and workshops.

Workshops include making sure that your customers are knowledgeable about your products and are satisified with the products. Get to know your customers so you can make suggestions about products that will best suit their needs.

Recruiting – If you love would you do, make sure others know that you love it too! Some of your best customers may make the best recruits. Don’t be afraid to ask. I had to ask my demo about becoming a demo.

Special Events – With Stampin’ Up! I hold monthly stamp camps. The opportunity for stampers to use my products and make cards, scrapbook pages and other items. I also charge a fee for this. If you sell another product, have a learning night at your house and show your customers how to best use your products!
