It is finally the holiday selling season! I have been so busy with my embroidery business! It has been hard to keep track of all the orders, plus run a household.
One mistake that is easily made by home business owners is discounting their merchandise too much for the holiday season. Offering some discounts is fine, but keep in mind that people are willing to buy more and spend more during this season. Don’t discount so that you are making a minimal profit.
Instead offer great customer service! Offer to gift wrap for a nominal charge (or for free). Or include a small tag or card with a note from them. Allow customers to ship to their friends and family. A big “THANK YOU!” also goes a long way. Include a coupon for a future purchase to keep them coming back.
