Halloween Treat Bags

I always enjoy making cute little treat bags for my children’s classes for Halloween. This year I am going to take this idea and make it into a Halloween themed bag. I use my die cut machine to cut out the note card and fold it in half. Then I am going to stamp it with cute Halloween stamps and add EEK! where the orange is. I will fill the bags with wrapped candy and voila, instant treat bag!

Teacher Gifts

Here are the teacher gifts that I am giving my son and daughter’s teachers for the Holidays this year. I had some blank bags from my embroidery business and embroidered the teachers initials on each. Then I filled with some goodies. I hope they enjoy them!

Teacher Gift

Yesterday was the last day of school for my 3rd grade daughter. I decided to make her teacher a bag using jelly roll fabric strips. I found a cute pattern and some fantastic fabric and this is what I came up with:

The inside of the bag has two pockets:

One Purse Finished!

I posted earlier about attending a purse making class. It was a lot of fun. I finally finished one of the purses yesterday. What we did was cut material into 1/2″ strips. Then we wrapped the material around cotton clothesline. Next, you wrap the covered clothesline around itself and using the zig-zag stitch, sew it together. We wrapped a little, then sewed a little and then repeated the process until it was all done!

Here is the finished project. My daughter loves it!

Purse Making

Tomorrow I am going to attend a purse making class with a friend of mine. The class is from 10:00am to 3:00pm and I will miss my daughter’s first basketball game. I am excited to go though! Here is a picture of the project we are going to make:

Of course, I will probably have to end up making two of them, since both my daughters will want one!
