One of my New Year’s Resolutions this year is to get fit. I don’t want to say lose weight because that is always soooo depressing to say. I have been reading various tips about fitness and weight loss and found some great ideas on a blog called NoExcusesGym.com.
After reading some of the posts, I decided it is best to start slow and easy when it comes to fitness and dieting. For example, we all know that we should drink more water, but how hard is it to start with 8 glasses a day? Instead opt for one glass before each meal to start. When that is accomplished move on to one glass before each meal and one with each meal. Wow - you are already up to six glasses per day!
Another great tip from NoExcusesGym.com was to “replace one meal each day with a veggie-loaded salad” and a small amount of protein. Starting with one meal is easier than trying to starve yourself from day one.
If you add in healthy snacks such as fruit or yogurt you can keep the hunger pains at bay.
I have already begun by eating a good high fiber cereal or oatmeal in the morning instead of something less nutritious. Hopefully, this year will be the year to Get Fit!
