When is a stop sign not a stop sign? When you want to hit my car of course? Our street is a long, windy road (sounds like a song). The side streets all have stop signs. Before you enter onto my street, you have to stop and make sure no one is coming.
I was on my street (the one WITHOUT stop signs), coming around a bend. A car at a stop sign, stopped and then started to go. I honked. He kept going. I slammed on my brakes and ran right into him. He gets out of his car and has the nerve to tell me that “I stopped at the stop sign so then I can go.” I said, NO - you have to wait for ALL traffic to be clear. He didn’t understand.
Fortunately for me, the spot I was hit was right by a crosswalk for the Elementary School. And who was there today? A Policeman!! He saw the whole thing, wrote up the paperwork and told me I DEFINITELY was NOT in the wrong.
Geez! When will people learn the driving rules!

Isn’t it amazing that some idiots are allowed to drive!!! How frustrating. Glad you are okay!! I’m visiting via the carnival.

Yikes! Glad it wasn’t worse, and that you have an unimpeachable witness. I feel your outrage. I’d love to see real driving tests requires for licensing instead of the “any idiot can pass” exam that most states use.

I am so glad that you had a police eye-witness!
If it was going to happen, at least he was able to see it!

Must be frustrating coping with drivers like that… it’s good the policeman sees everything.

We used to ask, “where did you get your driver’s license, Sears?”

I’m glad you had a witness. Hopefully, the insurance company won’t mess with you.
