My 4 year old son has already learned the trick of asking one parent and then the other to get what he wants. He will ask me for something and if I say no he will go to his Dad and say “Mommy said yes.” Of course, he hasn’t learned not to ask his Dad when I am not around so he realizes this doesn’t work.
Being the smart kid that he is, he came up with a second solution. The other day we were in the store and he wanted to buy a dinosaur. I said no. Here is our conversation:
Noah - “Can I have a dinosaur?”
Mom - “No.”
Noah - “Mom, you are not listening to God.”
Mom - “WHAT?”
Noah - “You are not listening to God. God said I could buy a dinosaur.”
Mom - “When did you talk to God?”
Noah - “He told me I could buy a dinosaur and you need to listen to God.”
It is very hard to argue with that! But he still didn’t get the dinosaur!

My niece uses God to get her way all the time! You can’t argue with God and she knows it. Thanks for taking part in the postie carnival and Happy New Year!
